This month, we talk to Leon Denton, our Operations Supervisor:

“I have been working for Ironsides Lubricants for 20 years now, first as a factory  worker, on the track, filling kegs and drums and now as Operations Supervisor for the past couple of years.

I manage a team of 6 people and we are in charge of filling up to 50 tonnes of product per week. We pack our grease products into 180kgs drums down to 3kgs kegs, all in various colours and materials.

Ironsides is able to offer a wide variety of packaging sizes and my role is to make sure that our customers’ orders are fulfilled on time. My current role also includes stock management in our SAP system, training and supervising new staff members as well as dealing with packaging suppliers. I recently finished my ILM Level 3 course in Leadership and Management which will hopefully allow me to further progress my career at Ironsides Lubricants. In my spare time I have started running again and will be joining the Ironsides running team at this year’s Manchester 10K !”
